Thank you to all who helped with cleaning the Cathedral yesterday.

Evening Prayer with Prayers for Healing - tonight at 6.30pm.

Choral Evensong - next Sunday at 6.30pm, followed by refreshments.

Midday Prayer - in order to enable people on lunch-hours that do not start until 1pm to attend weekday services, we are going to try the new start time of 1.10pm.

Choral Scholarships - Auditions for new Choral Scholars will be taking place at the beginning of September. Information and application forms are available here or on the Music page.

Bring & Share Lunch - as summer draws to a close and terms begin, all are invited to a 'bring and share' lunch at the home of Veronica and John McEwen after the Sung Eucharist NEXT SUNDAY (12th September). There is a sign-up sheet on the back table - please put your name on it if you would like to come and mark whether you can bring a main course (such as quiche, cold meat etc.), and accompaniment dish (such as salad, pasta, garlic bread etc.) or a dessert... that way we won't end up with 30 quiches and no pudding!

Food Cupboard - our supplies of food for the homeless and needy are running low at the moment. Any donations of tinned food (ring-pull), cereal bars, UHT milk etc. will be gratefully received.

Traidcraft Stall - order forms are available for the next stall. There are also catalogues with ideas for (dare we say it!) Christmas! Margaret Geyer is also looking for some folk to help organise and run the monthly stall.  If you are interested, please speak to her or one of the clergy.

Lunchtime Concerts - thanks to all who helped with the hospitality at yesterday's concert. The next concert takes place on Saturday 18th September at 1pm when we welcome Ben Kearsley performing on guitar.

Bishop's retiral - there will be a farewell thanksgiving Eucharist for Bishop John in the Cathedral on Saturday 16th October at 12pm when a presentation will be made.  If you would like to contribute to that, please speak to the Provost or to a member of the Vestry.  

Scottish Episcopal Church Mission Association (Links) Events - Musical Afternoon to be held at St Martin's Church, Derby Street on Wednesday 13th October from 2-4pm with the Ferryport Fiddlers.
