Conveniently situated at the heart of the city of Dundee, the Ark Nursery provides child care and pre-school education for children aged between 3 months and 5 years.  The Ark Nursery is a trading name of St Paul 's Cathedral Ark Nursery, a limited company, registered in Scotland (SC227949) with charitable status (SC034338) whose registered office is  1 High Street ,  Dundee , DD1 1TD . 

Since its opening in June 2002, the Ark Nursery has maintained a high standard of care of all its children. Having recently passed the Care Commission’s annual inspection with flying colours the Ark nursery has recently had its licence extended to provide child care to 49 children in total.

The  Ark  is a Partner-Provider with Dundee City Council, allowing parents of pre-school children to gain assistance with pre-school funding.    

Staff

The Ark Nursery Manager writes:

"My name is Rosie MacLeod. I am qualified Nursery Nurse with many years of managerial experience in a number of nurseries and have a strong grounding in childcare and education.

The relationship between staff, parents, children and myself is paramount to a happy nursery.

• The Ark Nursery believes that a nursery is only as good as its staff, who are selected not only for their experience, but also for their ability to work as part of a closely integrated team.

• Qualified staff are ably assisted by a number of trainee Nursery Nurses. 

• The Ark Nursery exceeds the current statutory minimum of staff to child ratio in each room by maintaining a core of experienced staff and adding an extra trainee in each room.  This allows greater individual child to staff interaction. It also provides an opportunity for effective ‘on the job’ training and mentoring for the junior members of staff.  

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday,  8am – 6pm, all year round.*

* The Nursery is only closed on the following bank holidays: 25^th & 26^th December, 1^st & 2^nd January & Easter Monday.

Session Timetable: 

• Morning Session 8 am to 1 pm

• Afternoon Session 1 pm to 6 pm
