The
Ark staff in the Two to Three Room recognize that it is important for all
those involved in the well being, care and education of young children
have guidance that sets a context for high-quality care and education.
This should also identify key features that support and promote sensitive
and well-informed approaches.
The Scottish Executive’s guidance, "Birth
to Three – Supporting our youngest Children", focuses on three
key features through which effective support and learning opportunities
for young children can be developed:
-
Relationships
-
Responsive
care
-
Respect
The
activities the children take part in are designed to enhance each
individual's development in these three key areas.
