The
Ark staff in the Baby Room recognize that it is important for all those
involved in the well being, care and education of babies have
guidance that sets a context for high-quality care and education. This
should also identify key features that support and promote sensitive and
well-informed approaches.
The Scottish Executive’s guidance, "Birth
to Three – Supporting our youngest Children", focuses on three
key features through which effective support and learning opportunities
for very young children can be developed:
-
Relationships
-
Responsive
care
-
Respect
The
activities the babies take part in are designed to enhance each child’s
development in these three key areas.
